The festival director Sudeep Sen says, "DILF is a grand meeting of fine writers from India and abroad in a milieu that is intellectually stringent, culturally vibrant, open-hearted, and full of bonhomie and good cheer. It is a platform for true international multicultural exchange between the best in India and the world in the field of creative writing, literary translation, editing and publishing."
